I am new to yoga, what class should I take?

Foundations class would be a great place to start.  The class is slower paced with more time spent in each pose. However, vinyasa class is completely adaptable to all levels.  Beginners are welcome to all classes.

What do I do when I arrive?

Check in at the front desk, take off your coat & shoes in the coatroom, & please turn off your phone ringer.  No shoes in the yoga studio.  The practice is best done barefoot.

What do I bring?

As little as possible!  All you need is a yoga mat (we sell yoga mats & also have a few to borrow if needed).  You could bring a water bottle (we have a water cooler to fill if needed).  Please try not to bring anything else into the studio to keep it clear of clutter and make more space available. You can leave any bags, etc in the coatroom.  Wear comfortable clothes.

What if I’m late to class?

Try to arrive 10 minutes early so you can sign & in get settled onto your mat in time for class to start.  We understand things happen, so we will keep an eye on the door for any late arrivals to enter quietly.

What is savasana?

Savasana is the final relaxation pose that all classes end in.  It is considered the most important pose of the practice – it’s where the magic happens.  Learning to let go & allowing yourself deep rest can be hard for some, but an integral part of class.  We hate to see anyone miss savasana, but understand if you must leave, please do so before so as to not disrupt anyone’s experience.

Can I bring my child to class with me?

Our classes are intended for ages 16+.  We do not have kids yoga on our schedule at this time, but may add class or workshop for younger ages in the future.
